![]() Battlefield and Shipwreck's effect of turning defeated enemies into ghosts is nullified inside the Blood Grove's area.Ghouls within a Blood Grove's area will not be able to cannibalize any corpses, as the Blood Grove doesn't leave corpses behind.Scorch Worms within a Blood Grove's area will not be able to retreat the Blood Grove will always claim them. When the blood grove appears to move/shake, it is about to release a Flesh Golem.Blood groves can also be placed next to Forest, Thicket, Burned Forest, or Blood Grove tiles. They must break the roots before continuing to attack. The Hero becomes ensnared with less than 15% HP left, instead of dying. And on their dead bodies the crimson leaves of a new blood grove will sprout up. During its short bloom this "seed" uses its open bloody flesh to attract predators. But not as interesting as the blood Grove's method of dispersal: Those fleshy giants-often mistaken for undead monsters because of their grotesque appearance- are actually just a peculiar type of fruit, made from meat, bones, and branches. How they can tell if a creature is dying is quite interesting. In an instant the poor victim becomes entangled in them and is dragged underground afterwards. ![]() The vines, hiding on the forest floor, are quick to react to the twitching movements of a wounded or dying creature. Strictly speaking, the leaves are just rudimentary-photosynthesis is only a secondary way to acquire energy for plants in a blood grove. Although some may find it a somewhat sinister coincidence. as I spammed all empty slots beside the road with bookery's, and had enough vampire mansions and battle fields to cover the road with very little overlap. The bright red color of the leaves and roots of these trees has no connection to their diet. or if the tome only spawns if its not beside a vampire mansion. not sure if it'll work with any other type of road type. so its not the worst, but does mean that you dont get an extra tome which is sad. so you'll have to decide if you want to deal with vampires or watchers.Īlso I tried mine with cemeteries since I needed stone anyways as my road filler and I needed something to spawn mobs with souls, but it seems like the bookery doesnt spawn tomes when next to cemeteries, so the only way I fought tomes were to kill vampires and have tomes drop from them. didnt realize when it said it was scared of vampires this is what it meant, I thought they'd have some kind of interaction. The temporal beacon, while its ok in the beginning to get those watchers, they're terrible at the end when you have the whole path covered by vampires, they wont spawn in areas that are covered by vampires. So I just tried to do a run to farm these shards, using all of the items mentioned, and I realized some of it doesnt actually work well together. I was avoiding ghosts, and not putting bookeries next to vampires. Even with long farm runs, I wasn't getting any. I was having an issue with this resource. ![]() thats harder to do consistently, this would be more for a bonus chance to get a shard. you can also try to farm cosmic slimes, but they only show up if you destroy a building that is just about to spawn a unit but never reached the path yet. if its beside a vampire mansion, then the vampire that spawns is a vampire mage, which will also drop time shards. once the bookery is empty (you've cycled 20 cards with that specific building) you will get tomes spawning which are a cosmic enemy, these drop time shards. Originally posted by DarkenDragon:get vampires with bookery. and then find a combo that works well with all 4 of those cards. So to recap, you'll want vampires, bookery, battle fields, and whatever that tower that spawns watchers. but yea those are your sources of time shards as far as I know. (spiders got no soul so dont use them)Īnd then there is the watchers from that 1 tower, forgot what its called. the lord is a mage and you can get time shards from them as well, just make sure you're putting the battle fields adjacent to tiles that spawn units with souls. You can also use battle fields and have them spawn ghosts, there are 3 tiers of ghosts, the single, the swarm, and the lord.
